Container shipping firms in Vietnam are coming under pressure because of weak demand as maritime trade has declined.
Exports to large trade partners, including the US and EU, continued to fall in September.
Experts have forecast that maritime trade would not reach the figures seen in previous years because of retailers’ high inventory levels.
For container-shipping firms, the situation is expected to deteriorate in later months of the year due to falling freight rates.
