Liaoning province in China recently ran its first international freight train on the China-Laos Railway.
The first China-Laos international freight train left on April 22 from the provincial capital Shenyang, for Vientiane. It was carrying 25 forty-foot containers of cargo.

This freight train service marked the beginning of the trade between northeast China and countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region.
