Pomegranate exports from Tunisia, which started in September, have increased by +4.34% compared with 2020.
According to the Interprofessional Fruit Group, this export growth may reach +6%, with over 106,000 tons of pomegranates exported in the year.
The improvement is due to the promotion of new varieties for France and Spain through international promotional campaigns.
Europe is not the only export market destination; Tunisian pomegranates are mostly exported to the Libyan and Gulf markets.
