Import and export trades between Pakistan and China have increased explosively, against the global trend under the influence of the pandemic.
According to the General Administration of Customs in China, trade between Pakistan and China was 1.6 times larger than that of the same period last year. This rapid growth has brought great challenges to cross-border logistics and transportation, especially exports to China.
Shipping is the main method of transport for exports from Pakistan to China. Maritime transport capacity is tight and freight rates remain high.
