Pakistan’s exports to the European Union (EU) increased by over 17 per cent in the first ten months of the current financial year. This was largely due to the Generalised System of Preferences-Plus (GSP+) scheme.
Export proceeds to the EU’s 27 member countries amounted to $7.474 billion during the July-April period compared with $6.367bn for the same period of the previous financial year.

The GSP+ scheme began on Jan 1, 2014, and it will remain available to Pakistan for the next 10 years, till 2024.
