Banana imports into the USA in 2020 totaled 4.14 million metric tons in 2020. This was 2% lower than 2019 and the lowest import volume in the past five years.

The Department of Agriculture trade statistics reported that per metric ton value of U.S. imports of bananas in 2020 was $456.5, almost unchanged from $457.90 in 2019.
The top 2020 export supplier of bananas to the U.S. market was Guatemala.
Costa Rica was the second-biggest exporter of bananas to the U.S., an increase of about 6% from 2019.
