The prohibition in Iran on the export of soap and other cleansers have been lifted until further notice. Exports of soap and cleansers were banned after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic about a year ago.
Latest data show 185,000 tons of different kinds of cleansers worth $76 million were exported from Iran during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 20-Nov. 21). This represented a 7% and 14% year-on-year rise in weight and value respectively.
Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, China, Uzbekistan Turkey, Kazakhstan and India were Iran’s biggest export destinations for these products.
