The European Union has agreed to ‘third-country listing’ for all UK agri-food exports. This means the UK has met all of the necessary animal health and biosecurity standards for exports to the EU.
Over 60 percent of British agri-food exports go to the EU, as part of trade worth more than £3 billion.
The decision to approve exports of meat, dairy and other products of animal origin is ‘critical’, according to the NFU.
