The top two ports of entry for Mexican avocado imports are the Texas cities of Pharr and Laredo, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture statistics. These are actually border crossings, not ports.

Pharr was the number one crossing point for that fruit.

The port of Laredo in Texas was not far behind, accounting for 967 million pounds, according to the USDA.
