The main export unions of Chile have launched an international promotional campaign to reinforce their commitment to exports after the problems caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The export promotion agency said “we want to tell the world that Chile has continued to be active in meeting the needs of the world’s population,”.
“Our industries and logistics chain have remained active during all these months, complying with security protocols and international commitments, concerned with maintaining the standards and trust of importers and end consumers. We have joined in this public-private effort to be able to tell the world that Chile comes through,” said the Director General.
Chile’s foreign trade accounts for 56 percent of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) and supports almost 3 million jobs.
