Exports of non-textile products fell by almost eight per cent year-on-year during July-June in FY20 because of the cancellation of orders following the coronavirus outbreak.
Pre Covid-19, a consistent increase was noted in the exports of non-textile products in the first seven months of FY20, reversing the declining trend of previous years.
The only products showing increases in export proceeds were rice, meat, fruits, vegetables, tobacco, and footwear.
