There were a total of 1,691 trips in the first half of the year in west China via its land-sea freight route, the China Railway Nanning Group Co said. 674 more trains ran in the January-June period compared with the same period last year, an increase of 66.3 percent year-on-year.
The land-sea freight route is part of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, a trade and logistics passage jointly built by western provincial regions of China and Singapore.
The company has contributed to the accelerated construction of its freight service via the Beibu Gulf, which serves as an important transit in the corridor and is the nearest gateway for inland regions of China to reach the sea.
