Salmon exports to China from Norway have collapsed by up to 90 per cent among some companies since the coronavirus struck China more than three weeks ago.
Not only the mainland of China is being affected;air freight flights to Asia generally are at an all-time low.
Fresh salmon seems to have suffered less dramatically; exports are down by 31 per cent.
Some companies have reported that they have only exported a tenth of of the quantity last year.
The Norwegian Seafood Council has temporarily closed its office in China due to the danger of infection.
