The Netherlands earns its highest proportion of export revenue from machines and machinery parts, according to new figures from the national statistics office CBS.
Machines for making micro-chips and for the food industry – such as slaughterhouse systems – are at the top of the list of high-earning exports. Next on the export list is metal, such as steel and steel products, followed by the ornamental flower, tree and bulb industry.
