China has published export protocols, which will allow Portuguese table grapes to begin entering the country.
China’s General Administration of Customs has said that Portuguese table grapes which comply with phytosanitary requirements are now permitted to be imported.
The phytosanitary requirements include measures to prevent the entry into China of more than a dozen quarantine pests.
Before producers can export, all production sites and packing and storage facilities in Portugal must first be certified by and registered with Chinese authorities.
