Pharmaceutical exports from Turkey increased by 150% from 2009 to 2018.
The country earned nearly $1.2 billion from its pharmaceutical exports last year, up from $474 million in 2009, TurkStat reported.
The country also imported nearly $4.8 billion worth of pharmaceutical products last year. Imports of pharmaceuticals had fallen 7.6% over the near-decade.
Germany was the biggest exporter of pharmaceuticals to Turkey last year, contributing 18.4% of the total.
