Taiwan received orders for exports to a total of US$37.66 billion in April 2019, decreasing by 3.7% on year, according to the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

The top two exports by value were IT/communication products and electronic products.
The export order value for January-April totaled US$145.64 billion, a reduction of 7.2% on year.

The MOEA approved 193 projects of direct investment in China put forward by Taiwan-based investors totaling US$1.458 billion during January-April 2019.
