China supplied the most imports to the Philippines, with 22.2 percent share of the total imports in January 2019, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
“Import bills to this country posted an increase of 24.5 percent or an amount of 2.01 billion U.S. dollars, from 1.61 billion U.S. dollars in January 2018,” the PSA said.
South Korea was the second largest exporter, with an import share of 8.7 per cent.
The PSA said that Japan was the third largest export supplier, contributing 8.7 percent of imports.
