There has been a rapid growth of avocado imports to Ukraine in 2018, up to more than 4,000 tonnes.
For the first 11 months, avocado imports to Ukraine doubled and hit all-time high. It is expected that more than 4,000 tonnes of avocados will be imported to Ukraine by the end of the year, double the volume of imports in 2017.
According to experts, Ukraine imports 92% of its avocados from South Africa, Peru, Israel and Kenya. Substantial volumes are also exported to UKraine from Mexico, Spain and Chile.
