Next month there will be a Group of 20 summit set in Buenos Aires, including the USA President and Xi JInping of China. If those talks don’t go in a positive direction, the U.S. may impose tariffs on the remaining goods imported from China which have so far escaped taxation.
This may only be a rumour and is not certain to happen.
The USA has already imposed tariffs on $250 billion worth of trade with China.

China countered with $60 billion in import tariffs of their own. A number of tech products were excluded.
