In order to encourage exporters, the Bangladesh government is giving a subsidy to extra products for the current financial year.
Exporters will receive a 10 percent cash incentive for nine products, including pharmaceuticals, photovoltaic modules, motorcycles, chemicals (chlorine, hydrochloric acid, caustic soda and hydrogen peroxide), razors and razor blades, ceramic products, hats, and crab.
The total number of products subsidised for export is now 35.
In the previous financial year, shippers received cash incentives against exports of 26 types of products.
