Food and drink exports from Yorkshire and the Humber reached £1.14bn in 2017, an increase of 11% compared with 2016.
That is according to the latest HMRC figures, which also show that meat (£157m), dairy/eggs (£73m) and drinks (£58m) are the most popular food and drink exports from Yorkshire and the Humber.
One Yorkshire business which has experienced this growth is a Leeds-based brewery responsible for Eternal IPA and Northern Star porter.
The business has exported to 22 different countries, including Norway, Iceland, New Zealand and Japan, in four years of operation.
Exports have helped the firm to double its turnover each year and the business is now ranked amongst the top 100 out of 24,000 worldwide breweries, according to Rate Beer Best.
