Turkey’s exports increased by 16.3 percent on a yearly basis, to reach nearly $12.2 billion in January, the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced on Feb. 1.
According to TİM data, this was the third-best January export figure of all time. On a volume basis, Turkish exports also rose 9.8 percent to reach 9.7 million tons during the same period.
TİM noted that exports in the last 12 months had reached $158 billion, which represented a 10.1 percent rise year-on-year.
The Prime Minister noted that the upward trend of euro/dollar parity in January had helped the export figures.
