The amount by which UK businesses are exporting to Germany, India and China increased by 7.2% in 2015 compared to 2014, according to export data from the government’s Department for Business, Innovation & Skills (DBIS).
Germany remained the UK’s biggest European export market. the number of businesses exporting goods to the country rose by 182 in 2015.
China saw the biggest increase in imports from the UK, with 384 more businesses exporting to the country than in 2014. India saw a 2% change, with 170 more UK businesses exporting to the country in 2015 than in the previous year. In August last year, China was reported to be the UK’s sixth biggest export market.
Meanwhile, the number of companies exporting to Russia reduced by 902 in 2015, while UK exports to Brazil saw a drop of 342.
