Viet Nam’s exports to major African markets recorded high growth over the past five months of this year, the Vietnam Economic News reports. Major export products included mobile phones and components, computers, electronic products, vehicles, machines and equipment, as well as footwear, garment, and construction materials.
South Africa remained Viet Nam’s largest importer, contributing US$439 million to the country’s export revenue, a year-on-year rise of 39 per cent, the online newspaper reported.
Viet Nam’s exports to Egypt also grew by 5 per cent to $146.6 million while that to Ghana saw a yearly rise of 15 per cent to $95.8 million.
