Export growth from seven of East Asia’s biggest exporters – Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong and Singapore – slowed to a stop in the second quarter of the year.  Increased trade between China and its neighbours did not offset a sharp decline in demand from Europe. There has been a reduction in demand for goods made in Japan and the recovery of the Us economy has not improved demand for Asian exports.
