Idle Container Ships Increasing

The percentage of container ships in the world shipping fleet has increased to more than 4.3%. The last time that the idle shipping fleet exceeded this was in March 2012. Last year, the idle fleet decreased during the shipping peak season and then gradually increasing again during the fourth quarter. The majority of the fleet is laid up in the China Sea.
