Following a serious accident involving three freight lorries earlier this month, the Department of Transport in Sweden is considering stricter laws to regulate the operation of lorries. New winter rules are likely to cover traction system standards, HGV speeds and mandatory high spec winter tyres. The accident happened on the E4 which is a popular route for truckers using the E24 to access parts of Sweden and Norway across the Oresund Bridge.
