The dedicated rail freight corridor in India has received environmental approval for the section running through Sanjay Gandhi National Park. The railway companies believe that the dedicated freight corridor will completely change freight capacity. Double decker heavy halo trains will be able to carry about 15000 tonnes, with current goods trains able to carry only about 3500 tonnes.
