Rail freight services between the UK and Italy are used by a wide range of retailers, good producers and manufacturers; this has prompted the introduction of an additional weekly services between Hams Hall in the Midlands and Domodossola in Northern Italy. From early 2013, there will be five return services between the two countries, which it is hoped with reduce carbon emissions by switching freight from road to rail.
