A deep water container terminal and freight village has opened in Wilhemlmshaven. The opening has been delayed several times, and as the freight market is not growing, this may not be a propitious time to open. However, the investment has been made, and the terminal will offer distribution of freight by rail (20%), road (20%) and coaster (60%).
