A new dry freight container manufacturing facility was completed in Qidong, Jiangsu Province, China in the first half of 2012. Trial production started in July. Phase 2 of the facility, for the production of refrigerated freight containers, should be completed by the end of the year.
The major container manufacturing companies of the world are both in China, and have both reported a significant fall in profits for the first half of 2012.
