Shipping lines carrying cargo from China are likely to increase slow steaming to save fuel in preparation for Golden Week.  The first week in October is a national holiday, during which about 20 Far East sailings will be omitted.

Slow steaming helps shipping lines to absorb excess capacity and save on fuel costs.
