The Port of Rotterdam is to renovate part of the site to make a new heavy lift centre for the storage and handling of oversized freight. Most of this cargo comes from the energy and offshore industry sector, and project cargo.The port authority will invest more than €15 million in the project, which is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of 2014.
