The China Shipowners’ Association has expressed worries to the government about a planned alliance of three major shipping lines. The alliance is planned to begin operating in the second quarter of 2014, but other owners fear that shipping rates may be manipulated by the enormous organisation.  The alliance will probably have about 42% of the market share on the Asia – Europe shipping routes.
