From January to March 12, 2023, Peru exported 35,200 tons of avocado. This was an increase of 53 percent in exports compared to the 23,000 tons shipped in the same period the previous year.
“This is the best January, February and March so far in history, since more fruit has been sent than in any other year, which means that the offer of avocado from the mountains, which is earlier, has been greater than in previous years,” said an industry spokesman.
