In August Botswana suspended beef exports after an outbreak of foot and mouth disease in the northeast of the southern African country.

Botswana has now resumed exports of live cattle and beef from areas declared free of foot and mouth disease (FMD). Exports to Europe, which has tougher import restrictions, remained suspended, on Wednesday last week.
