The Indian government is not planning to ban or impose curbs on export of either basmati or non-basmati rice. Domestic prices are under control and there is enough stock in the country.
There have been reports of regulating export of rice, after the government banned wheat exports and capped export quantities of sugar.
There is no move to regulate export of any kind of rice.
