A recent Food and Drink Federation UK exports report shows Scotland’s food and drink exports increased by 15 per cent in 2021. Scotland accounts for the largest share of UK food and drink exports at 30 per cent.
An oatcake manufacturer is enjoying strong export growth, leading them to win the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
The company exports to more than 35 markets, including the Republic of Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Portugal, China, the Middle East, Cyprus and the Netherlands. The company has experienced a 600 per cent increase in export sales over the last ten years.
