East African countries are expected to experience more importdelays following new Covid-19 cases in China, and the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.
Authorities in Beijing have imposed lockdowns in regions of China reporting infections. At the same time East Africa – which imports more than half of its wheat from Ukraine- must now accept delays as the war disrupts routine supply chains.

Shippers are raising concern over expected delays in the supply of key goods.
