The strike at Kwai Tsing Container Terminal in Hong Kong is now in its thirteenth day and there is no plan to negotiate to end the dispute.  Dockworkers are asking for a pay increase of nearly 20 percent to compensate for inflation. Large volumes of container traffic are being diverted away from the port, and freight ships are facing delays of up to 60 hours.
