The Government of China has said nothing about the reason for suspending imports of chicken meat from 2 Brazilian processing facilities.
Imports were suspended without information regarding when business might resume or the reason for the decision. In December, China suspended chicken meat imports from one processing facility. In August, China also suspended imports of pork and poultry from a different facility.
The justification may be greater health controls due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
