New Zealand is still a big exporter into the European Union (and the UK), up to a tariff-free quota.

The UK consumes roughly the same amount of sheep meat as it produces, but there is also a more complex food market of surplus and exports at this time of year, and imports at other times of the year.

When the UK goes outside the EU agriculture policy, it may affect exports.
