The value of Scotland’s pharmaceutical industry has been revealed in a new report by the Fraser of Allander Institute. This shows that the sector makes a significant contribution to all parts of the Scottish economy. The Industry is the second biggest spender on R&D, exports £462 million worth of products and has seen job numbers rise.

The industry exports £462 million worth of manufactured goods, and supports £2.5 billion worth of industrial output every year.
