The Indian Government has ordered checks to be made on all freight from the Yemen and Somalia at airports, ports and in the postal system. The instruction came as a result of two parcel bombs being found on cargo planes destined for the USA.  President Obama is scheduled to visit India later this week, and extra precautions are considered appropriate as India has experienced many terror attacks in the past.  Calcutta has not received the order, but does not have any direct flights from either Yemen or Somalia.  Parcels from those countries go via Delhi or Mumbai.
