For the first time, the annual meeting of world leaders from the Shipping industry will meet near Durham today and tomorrow.  Delegates from all over the world, from Canada to Tasmania will attend the Worldwide Controlling Council of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.  Until now, the meetings have been held in London.  The delegates will discuss issues affecting the shipping industry globally and hear about port facilities in the North East.
