Global trade statistics are giving a confusing picture, as prices and freight rates for commodities such as iron or and coal plummet, while exports and imports of finished goods are booming.  Exports from China and air freight are showing outstanding strength, making some pundits in the freight and logistics sector more optimistic about the future.  Export sales from China rose 43.9 per cent in June compared with the previous year, making the trade surplus 20 billion USD, the highest for eight months.
