The Chairman of BIFA wants to ensure that whatever government finally has responsibility for running the country, they will not neglect the freight industry.  Freight forwarding and logistics companies are vital for facilitating the UK import and export traffic, and the British International Freight Association want to ensure that the industry does not lose out, in the difficult funding decisions which the new government will have to make.  Road and rail infrastructure need serious investment, while UK ports and harbours need stronger support and better strategic thinking.
