Although air freight capacity out of Asia has improved in recent weeks, congestion at Shanghai has meant that there are still delays and that charters have been run instead out of different airports.  It has been difficult to get hold of aircraft, and chartering companies have been using airports at Nanjing, Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macau instead.  Delays at Hong Kong and Shanghai have dropped from seven days in November to two to three days in December, and high demand for both air and ocean freight capacity appears to be continuing.  This situation seems likely to continue into the New Year.
