Freight truck drivers’ unions are planning to blockade logistics hubs throughout France during December, if employers do not comply with their wishes regarding wages and allowances. Two drivers have recently committed suicide, complaining of permanent pressure from management. A large logistics hub in the Paris suburbs was recently blockaded, leading to 1500 tonnes of temperature sensitive goods being destroyed.
